Sheryl is awesom
Sheryl needed to shake things up a bit, and she re-tooled her show and songs, which was good. She got back on the keys, handled more of the solos herself, and broke out the accordion again. This really showed off her talent as a musician/entertainer. She is the real deal. The new band does not do her any justice though, the three guitar players were asleep at the wheel. None of them played with any conviction, their dynamics were off (too loud, too soft, muddy tones, etc.), and they made some noticeable mistakes. The sax player fell out of key on his solo. None of that is acceptable when you're playing gigs at that level. The drummer and singers performed great and looked like they were having fun. Overall, she is Awesome! I like her new direction, it's still 311 and her music stands on its own. (Peter Stroud and Tim Smith are sorely missed). Very enjoyable to watch and listen to.
